What is SOC 2?
SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls 2) is an internationally recognised auditing standard developed by the American Institute of CPAs. It evaluates how organisations manage and protect customer data.
A SOC 2 Type 1 attestation confirms that security controls are properly designed at a specific point in time. A SOC 2 Type 2 attestation goes further by verifying that these controls operate effectively over a defined period.
This independent assessment provides schools and educators with confidence that 3P Learning maintains strong data protection controls.
What does SOC 2 mean for student data protection?
For schools using our programs – Reading Eggs, Mathseeds, Mathletics and Writing Legends – this attestation offers additional assurance that student data is handled with the security and care it deserves. The attestation was completed by Sensiba, an accredited certification body.
