Terms and Conditions

How to enter

    1. To be eligible to enter, an entrant must be:
      (a) an Australian or New Zealand resident aged 18 years or over; and
      (b) employed by an Australian school during the Promotional Period;
      (c) authorised to act on behalf of their school during the Promotional Period;
      (d) trialling Reading Eggs or at a school with a current subscription; and
      (e) have reads books in Reading Eggs with their registered class.
    2. An entrant who registers for the Book Week Competition between Monday 1st August 2022 and Sunday 14th August 2022 will be eligible for one of three winners’ prizes.
    3. Only one entry per entrant will be accepted.
    4. Prizes will be awarded to the three entrants with classes who have read the most Reading Eggs Library books during the Promotional Period.
    5. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
    6. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant or the entrant’s capacity to represent their school, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity and the capacity of the entrant.

 

Judging dates

    1. Reading Challenge: All entries will be judged at the Promoter’s office at 655 Parramatta rd, Leichhardt, NSW, 2040 (or via a remote location in the event of COVID-19 restrictions) on Monday 19th September 2022, 3pm AEST.

 

Judging criteria

    1. The Competition is a Game of Skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each valid entry will be individually judged based on the number of books that have been read by the entrants’ class.

 

Reading Challenge Prizes

    1. The entrant with a class that is awarded:(a) First (1st) prize will receive a $150 AUD Elizabeth Richards gift voucher, 4 indigenous style classroom stamps (The Teaching Tools), pack of 5 seasons book boxes (Elizabeth Richards), Reading Eggs book pack, Reading Eggs trophy, Reading Eggs medal set and Reading Eggs wristbands valued at $504.80 AUD incl. GST.

      (b) Second (2nd) prize will receive a $100 AUD Elizabeth Richards gift voucher, 3 indigenous style classroom samples (The Teaching Tools), Reading Eggs book pack, Reading Eggs medal set, and Reading Eggs wristbands valued at $406.60 AUD incl. GST.

      (c) Third (3rd) prize will receive a $50 AUD Elizabeth Richards gift voucher, 2 indigenous style classroom stamps (The Teaching Tools), Reading Eggs activity books & stamps, Reading Eggs medal set, and Reading Eggs wristbands valued at $286.65 AUD incl GST.

    2. There are 3 prizes in total. The total prize pool is $1,198.05 AUD incl. GST. All prizes are non-transferable or non-redeemable for cash and must be taken as offered.

 

Reading Challenge Notification of winners

    1. Winners will be notified by email and telephone by Friday 23rd September 2022.
    2. The names of the winners will be published on the 3P learning website (www.3plearning.com) from Friday 23rd September 2022 until Sunday 23rd October 2022.
    3. By entering the promotion, entrants grant the Promoter approval to publish their name and the name of their school publicly as part of the prize winner announcement in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products distributed or supplied by the Promoter.

 

Draw for unclaimed prizes

    1. In the instance of any unclaimed prizes, the prize will be awarded to the entrant with the next highest number of books read and will take place on Monday 24th October 2022 at the same time and place as the original judgement, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The winners will be notified by phone and email by Friday 28th October 2022.
    2. The names of the winners will be published on the 3P learning website (www.3plearning.com) from Friday 28th October 2022 until Monday 28th November 2022.

 

General

  1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions.  Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Entry is only open to entrants employed by school customers of the Promoter in Australia. Directors, managers and employees of the Promoter are ineligible to enter.
  3. Entries into the promotion open on Monday 1st August 2022 and closes at 11:59pm (AEST) on Sunday 14th August 2022 (“Promotional Period”).
  4. 3P Learning Pty Limited reserves the right to disqualify an entrant whose entry is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  5. While offering these prizes in good faith, except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
  6. The Promoter collects personal information (“PI”) in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use, and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at  www.3plearning.com/privacy.  In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
