Introducing the
Champions Challenge

World Maths Day meets esports! For the first time in World Maths Day history, a Champions Challenge will take place 3 weeks after World Maths Day on the 28th of May.

The Champions Challenge will see the top Mathletes from each regional Year/Grade (based on time zones) go head-to-head in an exciting, live mathematics battle.

The Challenge will use Live Mathletics – the same platform as World Maths Day – with the top students competing directly against each other for the Champions Challenge title.

A separate Champions Challenge event will be held for each region.

For students in World Maths Day Year/Grade groups K through to 8

The top 4 students from each Year/Grade will be invited to take part in a one-off Champions Challenge battle (against those in the same Year/Grade), ending with the crowning of a Champion for each regional Year/Grade.

For students in the World Maths Day Year/Grade 9 and up

The top 32 students from each region will be invited to take part in a live-streamed knockout tournament, showcasing the sensational mathematical skills of our World Maths Day winners. The tournament will be in a round-robin format, with the final 4 Mathletes taking part in a one-minute battle to see who will be crowned the Champions Champion.
