As part of this year’s World Education Games, a new video competition was launched with participating schools encouraged to film and produce a short video to promote either the World Education Games or the accompanying UNICEF School-in-a-Box project.

We received a huge number of entries and the WEG team have had a great time (as well as a very difficult time!) selecting a winner.

We are pleased to announce that the winning entry was submitted by Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College in Australia. Well done to all students (and teachers!) who took part in the filming of their short film, entitled “Education at our fingertips”.

I was particularly impressed by how many students at Monte were involved with the making of this video – great involvement by all! At 3P Learning, we are passionate about learning and the immeasurable value of an education – something that is not immediately available to every young person in the world. A core part of our philosophy, and that of the World Education Games and our partners at UNICEF, is to work to bring education to all; to reduce illiteracy and innumeracy to zero. This video spoke beautifully to that point and how sometimes the value of education can be overlooked or forgotten.” Tim Power,   Managing Director, 3P Learning

As a part of their prize, a group of students from the school will be joining the World Education Games team on a field trip to visit one of our education and school-building projects with UNICEF in Zimbabwe. A truly once in a lifetime experience! We look forward to bringing you news of this trip in early 2016.
