Integrating eLearning programs changes classrooms
Marvi Khan is the IT Coordinator and computer teacher at Lahore Grammar School 31 F.C.C. (Primary Branch) Lahore. She strongly believes that by integrating e-learning/digital programmes teachers can dramatically change what happens in their classrooms and also get an insight into how children learn best. It helps the students become civically engaged, collaborate with peers worldwide, and this form of interaction also empowers the students to direct their own learning.
Marvi plays a role in raising numeracy standards by integrating IT supported learning in school. She is also responsible for communication with parents regarding all IT related activities in school. This has opened up opportunities to strengthen home-school link. In addition to this, she provides professional expertise via workshops and mentoring in developing teachers IT skills to help them plan and deliver technology supported learning with greater ease and confidence.
