There has been a virtual stampede of schools in the last few days, all getting in early to register for the Commonwealth Bank Australian Maths Challenge.
And with practice starting in only a few days, we thought that teachers might like some ready made information that you can cut and past into a newsletter for parents or straight into your school or class blog. Simply copy what’s below and paste away, the Challenge is almost ready to begin!
The Mathletics team in partnership with The Commonwealth Bank of Australia are excited to present the 2011 Commonwealth Bank Australian Maths Challenge. All Australian schools and students are invited to take part in our national lead up event to World Maths Day 2012.
The Challenges will run over two days from Tuesday 30 August to Wednesday, 31 August 2011. Be sure to book these dates in your diary.
Some exciting additions to this year’s event include:

- A Special Challenge Curriculum course
- Amazing school prizes including school visits from Australian cricketers
This is a free event and if your students already have Mathletics accounts, then there is no need to register. To participate, students can log in via www.mathletics.com.au/challenge with their Mathletics user names and passwords on the day of the Challenge.
