Student Wellbeing

Research has found that wellbeing plays a pivotal role in student success, both in and out of the classroom. Therefore, it is important that students have access to the support they need to be actively engaged in their learning and perform to the best of their abilities.

Safe Schools have a number of activities students can do with their classmates and teacher to help make school a safe and happy place.

Getting Help for Students

If you’re having a difficult time, often the best thing you can do is reach out and get help. Whether it’s about homework, peer pressure, family life or something else, you’re not alone and there’s always someone available to help you.

If you need to talk to someone, Kids Helpline provides phone, email and webchat counselling service for both kids and teens. There’s also a Kids Helpline @ School program, which brings a counsellor into the classroom via a video link for a group discussion session.

Value of the Week

We’ve teamed up with the Student Engagement Institute to bring you Value of the Week. As the name suggests, this engaging weekly program addresses values that are relevant in the lives of young people today. The online component of Value of the Week ensures the virtues learnt in the classroom are easily accessed and readily replicated at home. If you’re interested in bringing Value of the Week to your school, get in touch with your teacher and provide them with the link below.
