What is WordFlyers?

Designed for teachers, by teachers, WordFlyers is a successful and innovative digital resource dedicated to strengthening the literacy skills of Year 7 – 10 students in grammar, reading, comprehension, punctuation, vocabulary and writing.

Set within the theme of world travel, WordFlyers is an engaging, relevant and rigorous resource for the modern teenager (and teacher!).

The WordFlyers Race Around the World is an Australia-wide literacy challenge for secondary students.

The competition starts at 00:01 on the 3rd of September and runs until 11:59pm on the 14th of September.

The competition is open to Australian secondary schools with or without a WordFlyers subscription.

Students participate by completing lessons on the WordFlyers online program.

Top School

The school with the most completed lessons as of 11:59pm AEST 14 September 2018. The school must have a minimum of 3 teachers, each with 20 students in their WordFlyers class, to qualify. Lessons completed will be counted from 00:01 AEST 3 September 2018 until 11:59pm AEST 14 September 2018. Any lessons completed outside the competition period will not be counted.

Top Teachers

The 3 teachers with the most completed lessons as of 11:59pm AEST 14 September 2018. The teacher must have a minimum of 20 students in their WordFlyers class, to qualify. Lessons completed will be counted from 00:01 AEST 3 September 2018 until 11:59pm AEST 14 September 2018. Any lessons completed outside the competition period will not be counted.

Top Students

The top 3 students with the most completed lessons as of 11:59pm AEST 14 September 2018. Lessons completed will be counted from 00:01 AEST 3 September 2018 until 11:59pm AEST 14 September 2018. Any lessons completed outside the competition period will not be counted.
