Curriculum Aligned?

Spellodrome is designed to complement teaching and learning, with online activities specifically developed to reflect the various elements of the National and NSW Curriculum. The Focus Programs in Spellodrome, which include the word lists and Spelling Worksheets, address each learning outcome and provide students and teachers with comprehensive coverage of all mandatory learning requirements.

The activities within Spellodrome address the two overarching processes of:

  • Comprehending texts through listening, reading and viewing; and
  • Composing texts through speaking, writing and creating.

Moreover, the Focus Programs within Spellodrome enable students to develop proficiency in the following areas of knowledge:

  • Text knowledge
  • Grammar knowledge
  • Word knowledge
  • Visual knowledge

What does this mean?

For both home and school users, this means that Spellodrome is the ideal resource for students to reinforce the mandatory requirements set out by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority. Students can rely upon Spellodrome to support the content they are being taught in the classroom, and ensure they remain up-to-date with their course requirements.

Teachers are able to use the interactive capabilities of Spellodrome to enthuse their students about literacy as well as methodically guide them through the various Curriculum outcomes.  With the ability to customise learning activities as well as use ready-made activities, Spellodrome makes student assessment stress-free; as teachers can be sure that they are testing the Curriculum required spelling skills.
