Pakistan’s Largest Free Online Math Challenge has been organized by Team Mathletics with an objective of letting the students explore and learn through funfilled, engaging and interactive features of the World’s number one online maths resource.

Schools from across Pakistan were invited to represent their school in this exciting online maths competition. Aiming to dilute negative competitiveness and inculcate the respect of team work, Pakistan Maths Challenge entertained classes from Kindergarten to grade 8.

The contest started at 12:01 a.m. Monday 17 Oct 2016 and was closed at 11:59p.m. Sunday 23 Oct 2016. More than 14000 students, from 80+ Schools and 24 cities across Balochistan, ICT, KPK, Punjab and Sindh. Students were challenged with self-paced adaptive curriculum questions – all using the award winning Mathletics platform.

Other than participation from privileged areas, the interest of remote areas like Mian Mandi Mohmand Agency towards this challenge proved it’s just passion that matters.
Most of the students were exposed to this kind of game based learning experience for the very first time, however it is heartening to see how our students are ready to take a leap if provided with the opportunity.

As Robert Ingersoll said and I quote, “We rise by lifting others”. We highly appreciate the support of National Grammar School, Liberty Campus Lahore, and 3P Learning Pakistan for providing space and resources to make it possible for Special Education and Training Centre, Lahore, to participate in the contest. The excitement, happiness and sense of achievement on the faces of the students is the best reward one can earn.

To allow fair competition between schools of different sizes, the results were prepared on average school points. According to the results IBA Community College, Khairpur was able to secure the 1st position followed by Society Public School, Lahore and Hamdard Public School, Lahore respectively.
Hall of fame for top 45 schools has been updated on www.pakistanmathschallenge.com and facebook page.

The wining schools have been rewarded with special Trophies, laptop, tablet, certificates and souvenirs. All participating students have been awarded with participation certificates and special teacher acknowledgement certificates have also been awarded.

Knowing the importance of evaluation in any experiential cycle, the schools have been   provided with strong diagnostic reports using Mathletics reporting, which will allow teachers and administrators to track from individual student progress to a whole-school snapshot.

A warm, encouraging and excited feedback has been received from students, parents, teachers and school administrations.
