Never stop learning
Violet Nicola’s role at Beverley Hills is as Education Support Administrator, supporting teachers across IT, together with numeracy and literacy programs Mathletics, Spellodrome and Reading Eggs. Add to that Mathletics and Reading Eggs Lead Educator.
Originating from South Africa, working at Beverley Hills Primary is a family affair. Her young son attends and both Violet’s parents teach at the school. “We have been so privileged to be able to work together. We all love working together and feel so honoured to provide the best support and education to our small growing community.”
All teachers at Beverley Hills Primary provide individual learning maths plans to students so all mathematic levels can be covered and achieved. Violet ensures teachers have access to a hard copy of all Mathletics eBooks to reference and direct extra support to the students in their class who require it.
Violet is clear that we never stop learning, oftentimes learning from the children that we teach. She holds utmost respect for her teaching colleagues at school who have been teaching for 20-50 years.
Technology is a huge impact in our lives now but I also enjoy that our school still provides the basics of teaching from back in the day. As much as IT is the new thing, having respect for, and learning the basics on handwriting, maths and reading is still a really important part in our school for our children.
Violet would love to see more applications created for Spellodrome and Mathletics through Android as well as Apple.
Violet is also a Reading Eggs Lead Educator. Read more
