Week two of the St Paul’s Anglican School’s Maths Challenge took a curriculum focus and student enthusiasm reached fever pitch. The stats surprised organisers Angela Keyt and Bruce Robinson with the Junior school alone spending 752 hours on Mathletics last week! “Most exciting is the y4 boy who has earned over 40 000 points by himself.”
School pride runs high “Our classes finished 1, 2 and 3 both in Australia and in the World!”
Angela and Bruce have been thrilled with positive response from parents and teachers around the challenge. Teacher Nicole Baker was impressed to see her students trying topics they hadn’t done before, using the help button to learn how to do the task.
“Thanks everyone! My class had a great week… they were excited about maths class. A little bit like they get excited about science experiments or box construction. Food for thought.”
Time to head students outside though now. “Lucky it’s HPE week this week. Get them off their computer chairs.”
The Team at 3P Learning would like to congratulate St Paul’s Anglican School and in particular, Mr Robinson’s year 5 class who achieved 1st place on the ‘World Top 50 Classes’.
