The Mathletics Team was honoured this week to spend the afternoon with NSW Mathletics Lead Educator Keith Barnett and Nicola Bryant from Epping North PS.
Working together with Mathletics product owner, Rod Langlands, our visiting educators discussed ways that they integrate the resource into their teaching and learning, highlighting ways that future development could meet their needs. Important to Epping North PS, is a focus on student centred learning, particularly allowing students to identify, articulate and work towards their own goals. Students need to be engaged and active in the processes of their own learning and strive towards individualised student improvement targets.
Like any school, Epping North’s intergration of Mathletics is unique – they value easy access to relevant content and resources for their lessons, and a snapshot view of activity summarised by student.
We look forward to continuing the dialogue with Keith and Nicola, to ensure we continue to build a highly relevant resource in support of their teaching and learning.
