Ahead of the release of the Australian Government’s much anticipated innovation statement next week the Prime Minister stressed the role innovation needed to play to transform the economic and educational landscape to deliver the nation’s future prosperity.
Mr Turnbull chose to visit 3P’s offices, along with Parliamentary candidate Trent Zimmerman, after our work in online education and innovative use of technology led to significant developments in the sector, and highlighted our entrepreneurial spirit as an example for the rest of the industry to follow.
The team at our Sydney office were very pleased to host the Prime Minister for his visit, giving him a tour of the offices where he met some members of the 3P family, as well as seeing a preview of some of the exciting new innovations we are working on for our schools.
There are few things you could be doing that are more important than this. You are really in the frontline of securing our future. 3P is a great example of what can be achieved… There is nothing more important, talking about Australia for the moment, than us becoming more innovative, more technologically sophisticated, more numerate, more literate in maths and science. Particularly in maths because that obviously opens up so many other avenues – not least of which is machine languages. A lot of kids write themselves off as not being good at maths or saying “I am not a mathematics person” and they write themselves off very early and that is a massive mistake.
