Teaching with IntoScience (IS05WB)

Mon 20 March 4pm (AWST)

This course covers the functionality embedded within the IntoScience program and how to use the resource to support inquiry based learning. Teachers will be introduced to the virtual world through areas such as the Research Lab, Observatory, Biodome and Asian Woodland. Explanation will be given regarding the various forms of participation and how students are able to investigate problems, conduct research and draw conclusions through experimentation and observation. Teachers will learn how to use the program for successful teaching and learning at a whole class or group level. Further, teachers are shown how to review student participation, knowledge and application and use this data to evaluate student understanding of the subject area.
